balsamic petit filet w/ blue cheese

There's a whole lot at steak when you are preparing a petit filet. Sure it's one cut of meat that can stand on its own, but why not kick it up a notch with this gourmet version? Topped with kosher salt, blue cheese and balsamic syrup, it's not just a meal -- it's an experience.

Ingredients

    4 6-oz. filet mignon
    Kosher salt
    Blue cheese, crumbled
    2 Tbsp. balsamic syrup
Methods/steps
Liberally season both sides of filets with salt. Place on grill or in sauté pan over medium-high heat; sear each side for 4-5 minutes for rare. Crumble blue cheese on each filet and drizzle with balsamic syrup.
