Randy Weaver tells his story to ABC News Primetime for the
first time since he lost his wife and 14-year-old son in the Siege at Ruby
Ridge in the mountains of northern Idaho.
ABC News retraces the steps where Randy saw his wife and son and the
family dog shot by FBI as they were stalked by the FBI on weapons charges and
failing to show up for court. A federal
marshal also lost his life during the shootout too. One would wonder if the entire bloodbath was
necessary. Three people lost their lives
in a needless shootout. After watching
this episode, it would appear as if the FBI became the Weavers executioners
instead of someone who was supposed to protect them. In the end, the Weavers won a $3.1 million
lawsuit to which $1 million went to Weaver’s daughters and $100,000 to Weaver.
