Imagine making a movie about a popular social networking website. That is what “The Social Network” is about; how the popular social networking website got its start, and how founder, Mark Zuckerberg became the world’s youngest billionaire. According to the movie, Zuckerberg, excellently portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg, started the popular website now with over 500 billion users, with some college friends that was supposed to be based off a Harvard University website.
Throughout the movie, Zuckerberg is accused of stealing the idea and a battle over ownership of the popular website ensues and unravels the friendship of the creators. What you don’t expect to see in this movie is the humor and the brutality. It’s hard to imagine that the success of a website could cause such a battle between friends. The genius of Zuckerberg that brought the world a new idea of networking on the Internet caused so much controversy to a few college friends.
