What Is the Blood Moon Prophecy?

I have been wondering what the Blood Moon Prophecy was and decided to research it online.  I was watching John Hagee Ministries, who was doing a series on the Blood Moon Prophecy, and it got me interested in what it is.

It seems it is a rare celestial event known as the Blood Moon Tetrad.  When it occurs, there are periods of monumental changes that affect Israel, the Holy Land, and ultimately, the world.
According to the following verse, “And I will show wonders in the heavens, and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” Joel 2:30-31, is time running out for the world?

Here is the timetable for the Blood Moon Tetrad:
2014/4/15 Passover
2014/10/8  Sukkot
2015/3/20 Adar 29 Nisan 1
2015/4/04 Passover
2015/9/13  Rosh Hashana
2015/9/28  Sukkot

What is an Lunar Eclipse?
This occurs when the sun, moon and earth align which causes the earth's shadow to fall on the moon and darken it.  It is called a blood moon  because it appears blazing red which results from a refraction of sunlight in the earth's atmosphere.  Some have interpreted this romantically as all of the sunsets and sunrises of the earth.

Why is this Blood Moon Tetrad so special?
It is the first in a series of four lunar eclipses.  The first is to happen on April 15, 2014 during the early morning hours.  The next one happens on October 8, 2014.  Then in following is the  April 4, 2015 and September 28, 2015.

Lunar eclipses usually occur twice a year, but not all are total eclipses.  Some are penumbral and partial, but the tetrad of four eclipse makes it especially notable.  There were only five tetrads during the 20th century, no tetrads from 1600 through 1900, and eight tetrads from 2001 through 2100.  They usually occur less often than Blue Moons.

If you want to view this phenomenon, catch it early on Tuesday, April 15, 2015.  The eclipse will start just a little bit before 2 a.m. with totality occurring for over an hour starting around 3 a.m.  It can be seen with the naked eye on the East Coast, but for an even better view, binoculars should improve the viewing.  Another astronomical anomaly should also be visible:  a fiery red star next to the moon known as Mars!

According to Pastor John Hagee, the passage of the tetrad eclipse is suppose to mark the Jewish holidays of Passover and Sukkot.  Is this series of Blood Moon Tetrad Eclipse a sign of biblical prophecy?
