1.  A lofty, colorful style of speaking intended to impress

2.  Being vain or pompous in an overbearing style

Examples used in a sentence:

1. The speech, while intended to be motivate came across as grandiloquent with too many words and phrases.

2.  Instead of receiving the award humbly, she didn’t thank anyone in her grandiloquent acceptance speech.
