You don’t have to consider yourself an artist to create a
masterpiece. At Splatter Lab in Rexburg, you can unleash your creativity
in a unique and exhilarating way. Rather than sit down and quietly
paint, at this art studio, you can move, throw, and splatter the paint.
Splatter Lab is certainly one of the most unique art studios in Idaho
and the perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening.
During these uncertain times, please keep safety in mind and consider
adding destinations to your bucket list to visit at a later date.
Splatter Lab is located in
Rexburg and first opened its doors in 2020. It has become a popular
place in this small Idaho town to unleash creativity and get a little
messy.
This unique art studio is
designed to help you make art that you are proud of — even if you aren’t
a professional artist. When you walk into the lab, you will be given
ponchos, all necessary painting supplies, and even a speaker to help you
splatter with the perfect soundtrack.
It’s then time to get to work!
Cover your paintbrush with paint colors of your choice and splatter it
all over your canvas. You can splatter the paint from far away or up
close ... it really doesn't matter.
Be prepared to get a little messy, it’s all part of the experience.
In the lab, you don’t have to
worry about cleaning up your mess, spilling paint, or ruining your
clothing. This is a great way to relieve some stress and just do
something different.
There are supplies available, such
as tape, to create designs on your canvas or you can paint a background
before you splatter. When you can't decide, just let your inner artist
choose.
Each experience comes with an 11
x 14 canvas. However, you can always upgrade your canvas to create a
larger work of art or even choose glow-in-the-dark paint if you want
something a little unique.
If you do want to create art in a
more structured (and clean!) environment, art classes are also offered
at Splatter Lab for all ages. These classes are a terrific way to polish
your skills and even learn a few new techniques.
Up to 14 artists can head into the lab at a time to create their
masterpieces. Due to limited space, it is recommended to make your reservation online.
Have you been to this unique art studio in Idaho? What was your experience like? We’d love to hear about it in the comments!
After you’ve finished your experience at Splatter Lab, refuel at The Hickory, a family-owned steak, barbecue, and burger restaurant in Rexburg.
