One Tree Hill
went out with a bang the 8th season, its final season. Married couple, Nathan and Haley struggled to
deal with Nathan’s disappearance; Clay struggled with the aftermath of his
wife, Sarah’s, death upon remembering that he left behind an infant son; Mouth,
aka Marvin, and Millie struggle with his recent weight gain; newly married
Brooke and Julian struggle to raise twin sons on a two-job family, and learning
that the man who attacked her and killed rising basketball star for the One
Tree Hill Raven’s, Quentin “Q” Fields, was out on parole; and Dan continues to
find redemption for the murder of his brother, Keith, only to find it when he
manages to bring Nathan home, being shot and succumbing to his injuries later
in the hospital.
With the end of One
Tree Hill came hope and redemption where you didn’t expect it. The actors, James Lafferty (Nathan), Joy
Bethany Galeotti (Haley) Robert Buckley (Clay), Shantel VanSanten (Quinn), Paul
Johansson (Dan), Lee Norris (Mouth, aka, Marvin), Daphne Zuniga (Victoria),
Stephen Colletti (Chase), Antwon Tanner (Skills aka Antwon), with special guest
star Chad Michael Murray (Lucas) all
gave excellent performances to a show well deserving of the last 8
seasons. The last and final season was
worth the wait. Just like Joss Whedon’s, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, One Tree Hill will live on long after it
ends.
