Edward Burns,
Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Mike McGlone, Maxine Bahns, John Mahoney
A romantic
comedy about two brothers whose rivalry comes to the front when one of the
brothers begins an affair with the other brother's ex-fiancee. Brothers Mickey (Edward Burns), a New York
cabbie, and Francis (Mike McGlone), a big-shot Wallstreet broker, Fitzpatrick
both have beautiful wives, (Hope [Maxine Bahns] and Renee [Jennifer Aniston],
respectively). When it comes out that
Francis is having an affair with Heather (Cameron Diaz), the rivalry between
the two brothers heats up. The brothers, with the help of advice from their
father (John Mahoney), comes to blows over Heather as each brothers' marriage
suffer.
Aniston is
enlightening as she learns of her husband's affair and Mahoney is a hoot
dealing out misguided advice to his two sons.
Burns, who also directed, gives a delightful performance as he comes to
terms with the heartbreak of his ex-fiancee and what it means for him and his
new wife. Diaz is the lovable woman who
has the two brothers caught up against each other.
