The Gingerbread Man

What happens when you know the law, but forget the rules:  “Never get involved with a client; and never put your family in danger?”

Kenneth Brannagh stars as “Rick Magruder” in John Grisham’s “The Gingerbread Man.”  In the world of Savannah’s most top-tier law firms, Rick Magruder is one of the brightest young attorneys of the bar.  But when he becomes obsessed with his beautiful, mysterious client, Mallory Doss (Embeth Davidtz), who’s supposedly stalked by her deranged father, Dixon Doss (Robert Duvall), he plunges into a world of terrifying intrigue and deadly deceit.  As a hurricane bears down on the city, Magruder finds himself emerged in a battle without a judge or jury—only an executioner.  

Also starring is Daryl Hannah as Magruder’s assistant, Lois; Famke Janssen as Magruder’s ex-wife, LeAnn;  Robert Downey, Jr. as Clyde Pell, the private eye working with Magruder in the case; and Tom Berenger as Pete Randle as Mallory’s ex-husband.
