Cheese & Potatoes Pork Casseroles

There's a lot to be said for one-pot meals. And this cheese, potato and pork recipe is no exception. With just a handful of affordable ingredients, this delicious dish can be prepared with little effort. It gives knew meaning to throwing dinner together. Makes 3 servings Ingredients 6 pork chops, boneless 2 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced 10 oz. can of condensed French onion soup 10 oz. can of condensed Cheddar cheese soup Methods/steps Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Layer potatoes on bottom of baking dish, trying to keep to single layer, but double layer is okay, too. Lay pork chops on top of potatoes. In small bowl, blend the two soups together. Pour over pork chops, trying to cover them evenly with mixture. Bake for 1 hour. Additional Tips Ready in 1 hour and 20 min

Apricot Banana Bread

Your family loves this bread. Ingredients 1/3 cup butter or margarine( softened ) 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 cup mashed bananas(2to 3 medium bananas) 1/4 cup buttermilk 1 1/4 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup 100% bran cereal ( not flakes ) 3/4 cup chopped dried apricots(about 6 oz's) 1/2 cup walnuts ( chopped) Directions In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar, add eggs; mix well. Combine bananas and buttermilk. Combine the flour, baking power, baking soda and salt; Add to creamed mixture alternately with banana mixture. Stir in bran, apricots and nuts. Pour into a greased 9inX5inx3in loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50 t0 60 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack. ( YIELDS 1 LOAF)_ Prep Time: 20 Min

Banana-Pineapple Bread

Delicious Breakfast or Snack Food. Ingredients 3 cups AP flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups granulated sugar 3 beaten eggs 1 cup oil 2 cups mashed bananas 2 teaspoons vanilla 8 ounces crushed pineapple Directions Combine flour, soda, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl; set aside Mix remaining ingredients in large bowl Add dry mixture Grease and flour 2 loaf pans Bake in 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes until tests done. Sweet Clam Chowder

This is a rich and creamy seafood chowder, garnished with crispy bacon. It's almost guaranteed that nobody will clam up when they taste the scrumptious soup. When you're looking for a recipe to bowl you over, this is the one. Makes 6 servings Ingredients 2 (6 1/2 oz. cans) clams 1 cup chopped onions 1 cup chopped celery 3 cup diced potatoes 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup flour 2 cups half-and-half cream 2 cups milk 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar 1/2 tsp. vinegar Methods/steps Drain juice from clams and pour over potatoes. Add enough water to cover. Cook for about 10 minutes then add sugar, vinegar, and salt. Cook until potatoes are tender. Melt butter, sauté celery and onions; and then add flour and blend. Add half and half and milk stirring constantly. Add potatoes (do not drain) and mix thoroughly. Add clams. Garnish with crisp bacon. Serve steaming hot with your favorite bread.

Honey Glazed Cloved Ham

Baked Honey Glazed pine-apple Cloved Ham Ingredients 1 Shank Portion Ham. 2 tbsp ground cloves, 2 cups of honey. 2 cups of brown sugar karo syrup, 2 cups of brown sugar. 1 stick of butter or margarine. 1 small can of sliced pine-apple. 1 small can of crushed pine-apple. Directions 1st) wash your Hands. 2nd) wash your ham,place in a roasting pan with 2 cups of water, and place the sliced pineapples on the ham with a toothpick in the center to hold them in place. 3rd) Put ground cloves, honey, butter/margarine, brown sugar syrup and brown sugar,and crushed pine-apples in a sauce pan and bring to a boil while stirring slowly. 4th) pour the mixer over the ham. 5th) sprinkle ground cloves over entire ham,cover and let bake according to lbs on ham. make sure it doesn't cook any longer than 6 hours with the oven temperature set @ 350-425 degrees. oven temperatures may vary,and your cook time will also vary. baste the ham every 30 minutes to keep from burning. let stand after cooking for 30 minutes then carve and serve. Mile High Biscuits

Light and fluffy biscuits that are HIGH-RISING Ingredients 2 cups AP flour 1 cup whole-wheat flour 1 Tablespoon + 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar 3/4 cups butter 1 egg, beaten 1 cup whole milk Directions Preheat oven to 450 degrees Combine by sifting together flours, baking powder, sugar salt and cream of tartar Cut in butter until coarse meal forms Quickly stir in egg and milk Turn out onto floured surface and knead lightly Roll to 1 inch thickness Cut into 2 inch biscuits Line cookie sheet with parchment paper Place biscuits on cookie sheet, barely touching Bake 12-15 minutes Prep Time: 15 Min Cook Time: 15 Min Total Time: 30 Min Servings: 12
